About Me
Hi, I’m Justin. I am deeply committed to caring for and authentically bringing my whole self to my work with patients. And because of my training and personality, I enjoy doing deep work in therapy.
Since 2018, I’ve been fortunate to walk alongside a diverse group of people struggling with a wide range of mental health challenges on their journeys towards growth and healing. I’m passionate about, and am particularly drawn to, working with survivors of sexual abuse, those who’ve experienced early childhood trauma, complex trauma, grief and loss, and those who are experiencing religious deconstruction and spiritual uncertainty.
I also work part-time at Vision House—a transitional housing program that offers counseling, support and housing opportunities to families experiencing homelessness. There I’ve worked with survivors of domestic violence, complex trauma, and addiction recovery in the context of homelessness, which is some of the experience I bring to my practice.
Something else you should know about me is that I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61523195) based in Seattle, WA. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology in Virginia where I grew up.
I’m proudly affiliated with Northwest Psychoanalytic Society & Institute (NPSI) and the Center for Object Relations (COR). I am under the supervision of psychoanalyst Rikki Ricard, LMHC, FIPA (00003537). I am also part of Shelterwood Collective—a group of mindful healthcare practitioners devoted to walking with patients on their unique healing journeys.
I’m also committed to continuously growing and providing the best care for my patients, so I’m always pursuing ongoing education and training through workshops, conferences, and consultations.
